Let's see if he signs it.
Crist is generally pro gun, but he's also pro business, as any good Republican and Florida governor should be. So basically this is a play between two typically Republican issues. Anti-gunners don't have a say in this one. It is just big FL business versus the NRA. Quite frankly, this case isn't good for big business, the NRA, or the Republican party in general.
The NRA spent some political capital getting this pushed through (after the Nth try.) So I'd like to see Charlie Crist sign it, if for no other reason than to allow the NRA to focus on something more beneficial. |
