Don't keep that gun in your car just yet.
Actually, scratch that... do whatever you want, just don't tell anyone there's a gun in your car.
Anyway, the law is slated to go into effect in a little over two months. However, because of lawsuit, it will probably be put on hold for a long time while the suit is figured out.
I have faith that the Florida legislature will vote pro-gun (or, at least how the NRA tells them), and now I am also confident in our governor doing so as well. However, the state judiciary, and particularly the supreme court, is not quite as willing to cater to gun owners over property owners.
I still think the law is stupid, but it will at least be interesting to watch the case unfold. I just hope the NRA doesn't spend too much effort or money on this one. |
