Well, we're gonna have to spend the FOUR MILLION DOLLARS somewhere...
I knew he'd have to settle before the season started, but I didn't quite expect it to happen quite like this. But, as it turns out, Rodriguez basically had no case, and he's decided to give up the fight and pay. Well, I'm guessing that Michigan will actually pay for nearly all of his $4m contract buyout.
I love this: Rodriguez claimed he had been defrauded by the University, essentially tricked into signing his new contract last August... Awww, guess you knew what you were signing all along. I know its hard to understand what all the lawyer-talk means... like the Judas Iscariot clause, which I'll paraphrase: "if you leave before this contract is over you gotta fork over four million bucks to compensate WVU your backstabbing sonofabitchedness."
Ok, I made up that last word, but you get the point. |
