This bodes well for WVU.
Clearly, we are going to finish better than #8 this year. Probably #1. But we are always cursed to do worse when we are highly-ranked, so I'm glad they did us this favor and put WVU about seven spots shy of where it actually belongs.
On another note, I'm amused to see Michigan is even ranked... I mean seriously... Did anyone of the USA Today poll voters watch the game against Appalachian State last year? I watched it. It was damn-near hysterical. Sure, Michigan has a long history of exceptional football teams, but this year they are stuck with a coach that nobody likes. They lost their expected top recruit... to their arch-rival. The team Rodriguez has to work with this year doesn't even fit into his offense. To add insult to injury, pretty much all of RichRod's paycheck is going to WVU. Its hard to focus on coaching a college football team when you are living in a trailer and having trouble paying your electric bills.
