What Kind of Workers? |

Los Angeles is trying to force Home Depot and others to make life more comfortable for... "day laborers"... uh... "contingent workers"... "undocumented workers"... no, that's not it... I think they mean "illegal immigrants waiting to be picked up by unscrupulous employers to earn tax-free wages."
This pisses me off for two reasons. One, they are forcing these stores to provide "safe and dignified hiring locations" to defend the "basic rights" of these illegals. It is the "basic right" of Home Depot to tell both the city and the illegals to fuck off. It is nobody's RIGHT, basic or otherwise, to get pampered by Home Depot.
The second reason is that these people are not working within the laws of our country regarding taxes, etc. I obey the law and pay my taxes. For the local government to further legitimize their behavior infuriates me. |
