The latest project I've been working on uses LINQ/SQL to handle our data access layer. I must say, it works pretty well. I've used code generation tools like netTiers/Codesmith before, and they worked well. But LINQ is integrated nicely into the .Net/SQL world, whereas netTiers was a serious pain in the butt to use with source control.
Its nice not having to write any data access code, and accessing collections of data with SQL-esque statements directly in the code. |
