Dow Jones is already back up 230 points. There are bad days on wall street, and there are OMFGWEGONNADIE moments. This was the former, not the latter. The media has called this a "crisis" which some folks believe required a "bailout" of epic proportions. I don't see where there was a crisis. I saw a some bad decisions causing justified consequences.
What tickles me most about the bailout failing is that leftist democrats didn't like it because it would just pad the pockets of "Wall Street fat cats", and economic conservative republicans didn't like it because it interferes with the free market.
You know what that tells me? This bill did not have bipartisan support. Most of the supporters probably never even read the bill, which in the end spends a lot of MY money "patching a hole in the leaky dike". None of the supporters have a grasp of how free market economics works. Every representative who voted for the bailout has a few questions to answer...
I'll ask the first one: "Why are you a socialist?"
And a question to everyone else: "How hard do you think it would be to amend the constitution to make it legal to forcibly deport socialist politicians to France?" |
