I was discussing with Robb how I'd like to get a .22 revolver for taking newbies to the range. His suggestion: Why a revolver? I'd stick with a .22 semi auto so they learn how to deal with frustration early on. Heh. Sure, there are "more reliable" semi-auto .22s... but most of them that I've ever touched are finicky. I think I'll get a revolver anyway. If they want to learn to deal with frustration, they can shoot my Mossberg Plinkster with quality ammo (the cheap stuff feeds fine, the good stuff doesn't.) |
