So this update is a long time coming. I've been a busy busy girl lately. So much has been going on thanks to the move. Lots of interesting and new things to see down here, and one hell of a house that needed a lot of work. When we moved in the house was DISGUSTING. So on closing day I called every cleaning company in the phone book to see if we could get someone that night or at 7am the next day. I wouldn't have had to do this at all if it weren't for the fact that the previous owners had 2 cats and I couldn't breathe at all even being in the house because of allergies. Finally I found a company and they sent me two Brazilian women over the next morning while the movers moved around them. Because of the cats we also needed new carpet put in, but couldn't do that until we painted and with 15 foot high ceilings I also needed to hire someone for that as well. Found a old guy and his son that painted the whole house for really cheap. Carpet went in the following week and the house looks great!! We've been decorating and organizing and unpacking and generally trying to get our shit together . My mom came to visit this last week and I was soo happy to see her. Which brings me to the subject of this blog. When she got here she was hungry so we took her to JR's this great bar that has amazing food. When we walked in we saw people dancing on the dance floor. OLD people SWING dancing. Which was mildly amusing until Justin Timberlake and Snoop Dogg came on and they started swing dancing to that! I was dumb founded. This was the most ridicules thing I've seen in a long time. Oh well, the rest of the week mom and I spent shopping for decorations for the house, curtains, and sewing. We did take one day off and went to the beach. On the way back we stopped at a antiques shop and then mom decided to pull into this gift shop she thought looked neat. It turned out to be a new agey type place. Very cool stuff inside. Great books and stones and other stuff. Turns out they have a computer and biosensor thingy that reads your aura and prints a picture of it and they analyze it for you. We said what the heck it sounds interesting, lets do it! Really fun and pretty accurate. They also offer classes on touch therapy and healing and miracles and other things. I think I might go and take a class or two to see what it's like. It's something new at least.
Well a lot of other things have happened and this blog would go on forever if I talked about them all so I'll just make a quick list. If you want to know more. ASK!
- Went to Tampa Bay Downs and saw a horse race
- Erin and Chris are also moving next week to Raleigh
- Went to a bunch of beaches- Half naked old folks no good
- Saw sea turtles at marine aquarium
- LOVE MY HOT TUB
- Penny carried around an anole in her mouth with just the tail hanging out. Very cute
- Finding doctors down here sucks!
- Found a good tiki bar where pro baseball players hang out. 3 blocks from house
- Crocs are the best shoes for doing anything in Florida
- I'm really lonely and miss my friends so bad. 
- Nice having a lot more time with Greg
That's all I got for now. Off to the hot tub for soaking.
