Yesterday, our new bed was delivered. We went from Beth's old Queen bed she had since college to a beautiful new King bed. It was definitely time for an upgrade. Not only is the mattress bigger, but it is much thicker, and the bed sits a lot higher, and the four posters almost hit the ceiling. It is kind of ridiculous how this single massive piece of furniture has taken over the room. I almost need a ladder to get into bed now, and the dog can't even jump up on her own. But, I guess it is a bedroom.
We got a nice new mattress with individually coiled and packaged springs, fancy new matching pillows to go with it, and all new high-thread-count bedding. Talk about comfy! There are some places you just don't skimp, folks. We figured that since you spend nearly a third of your life in bed, it makes sense to spend the extra money there, right? Of course, the old bed has Greg and Beth shaped indentations from nearly 7 years of use, so I expect it will take a while to break this one in.
On top of that, I got to doze off with images of Noel Devine making a fool of the Auburn defense and the Rays holding a commanding a lead over the Phillies. I haven't felt this well in the morning in a long time. |
