Found this place moved in within walking distance of my house. Check out the selection of bottles and beers on tap! Haven't been there yet, but I plan on heading over there soon for sure.
Update:
They have The Reverend on tap. Score.
Oldsmar Tap House does not suck. The people are friendly. The selection is enormous. The beer is served in proper glasses and at the proper temperature.
I'm not much of a bar fly, but from what I can tell all the other bars in Oldsmar kinda suck. JR's was pretty sweet until the new owner bought it, cleaned the floors, and slutted up the waitresses. The place across the street is a New England Patriots *spit* bar. The nearest bar to my house is a hookah bar which was kinda cool, but I prefer to stay away from smokey places now that I quit smoking. Until this place opened, there were only a few grungy holes-in-the-wall within a reasonable walking radius.
Oh, and when I say walking distance, I mean about 2 miles. On a cool, brisk evening like tonight, it was quite lovely. I might have even burned nearly as many calories as were in that tripel. There are tons of bars within easy driving distance of course, but A) I don't drink and drive, and B) I don't know any of them that have Avery beers on tap. |
