Robb has posted a righteous and thorough fisking of pseudo-journalist Lloyd Garver's pant-shitting hysterics.
Every single point made in these Brady-parroting op-eds has been thoroughly discredited. There has been no "wild west shootout" as a result of lawful concealed carry. There is no "innocent blood in the streets". In fact, those citizens who actually jump through the bureaucratic hoops to get their permits are significantly less likely to commit a crime, especially a violent one. Consider the fact that they carry everywhere else without committing a crime, and ask yourself how being in a national park will somehow spark criminal behavior.
On the other hand, those people who choose to commit crimes such as carrying a gun without a license, or using a gun under the influence of alcohol have done and will continue to do so regardless of the law.
Pardon my bluntness, but only a raging idiot would think otherwise. |
