The police will assist you in disposing of evidence. Hell, they'll pay you for it.
Attention everyone else who turned in your gun for $50: You are complete suckers. Anything other than a .22 rifle or single shot shotgun would probably sell for more than that to a gun shop. Even the rifle and shotgun can be sold for more on the private market.
Locally, we have Tampa Gun Trader which is a good place to offer your gun for sale. There is also Florida Gun Trader for the rest of the state.
To that guy who traded his rifle for a $50 gift card to buy his wife a present: she's gonna be made when she finds out you could have gotten her a present that was twice as nice. |
