Never heard of him until recently... but I think that holds true for most people. Take a look:

I'm sure he's just as liberal as any other democrat, but jeez, he sure has some balls. He openly criticizes the system. He isn't afraid to say what he thinks. If there is a democrat in the White House after next election, I hope it is him. I haven't even researched his stance on a lot of issues that are important to me, but I'd be happy with him just because he's a balls-to-the-wall kinda guy, and I think that's the kind of thing this country needs. What really makes me grin is how he wasn't afraid to nail some of the other candidates (Hillary, Barrack, et. al.)
I don't necessarily agree with his foreign policy, but I still kinda like him.
I'll look into this guy some more, and get back to you.
