My SAR-1 trigger is much better now that I did that trigger slap fix which was noted by Xavier in comments here. It only took about an hour with a dremel, and various files/sandpaper/polishing cloth/etc. I haven't re-blued the part yet, but now that the test firing was successful, I'll be doing that sometime this week. The difference in the trigger now is astounding. It still isn't a wonderful trigger, but at least it doesn't try to rip your finger off. Yesterday, I comfortably fired about 90 rounds with no problems.
I also shot sporting clays with Robb today. I didn't completely suck, but I definitely need more practice. You always need more practice... and I certainly won't complain about practicing more in any event. I just wish the range wasn't all the way over in Lakeland. |
