In the interest of blogging more than once a month, I thought I'd actually pick up my computer and whack at the keyboard for a few minutes.
As I mentioned in my last update post, we had a semi-major flood here at Casa WestByGod, which resulted in ripped-up carpet, torn-off baseboards, and annoyingly loud air moving machines running 24x7. Not pleasant under normal circumstances, but we also have a guest staying with us over the long weekend. I feel bad that she has to squeeze past the industrial-strength dehumidifier in our hallway to get to the guest bedroom.
The good news is I get to go fishing tomorrow. I've convinced my wonderful and loving wife that the best way to remember our fallen heroes would be to fully enjoy the freedoms they died for. This means dragging poor defenseless Sea Kittens from the depth of the ocean, slicing them into nice grill-able pieces, and serving the perfectly seared morsels with a side of yellow rice.
