According to Volokh, the DC Circuit Court will not hear the Parker case en banc! I think that means this will almost certainly go to the Supreme Court. This whole thing is turning into a huge nail-biter. What if the Supreme Court doesn't hear it? Will that make the 2A, legally, and "Individual Right"? What if they do hear it? The Supreme Court loves to rule very narrowly, possibly even ignoring the "Individual Rights" bit altogether. So maybe they'll rule on part of it, or all of it, or none of it. This could be a groundbreaking event for gun enthusiasts, or it could mean absolutely nothing. I'll be keeping my ear to the ground. |
