Thanks T.A. Mahoney for being the only store in the whole of Tampa Bay that had the odd sized leaf springs for my boat trailer. Seriously. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to find someone who carried something even close to what I needed for my trailer.
Of course, in addition to driving all the way across town to T.A Mahoney's, I still made about 4 trips to Lowes today to get various tools and additional cutting wheels for my angle grinder (for when the copious amounts of PB Blaster didn't work.)
New leaf springs, U-bolts, brackets, bunks, and repaired fenders... After replacing nearly every nut and bolt on the trailer, it is nearly ready to roll. I just have to finish fixing the lighting and get carpet for the bunks. Then, I have to figure out how to get my boat onto it... but that is an engineering problem that I will surely overcome with a few more trips to Lowes. |
