I was in my living room drinking some coffee. It was a major shock and a major disappointment. Not just his songs, but his life's work will always be remembered.
That's right, if you haven't heard it all over the media, the king of wieners, Oscar Mayer has died. While he was somewhat of a disputed king (as far as I know, Francis Ballpark is still alive), his memory shall never fade.
My bologna has a first name; it's O-S-C-A-R!
My bologna has a second name' it's M-A-Y-E-R!
Hail to the King!
Edit: Turns out, this was just the prince of wieners that died at 95. Oscar Mayer's grandfather was the original King of Wieners. Although under his grandfather's reign, the company never had $1 billion in revenues. Wow, and the guy's first wife died in '98 when O.M. was 84. He got remarried at the age of 85. Sounds like he really was the king. One can only imagine his typical pickup lines... |
