If Charlie Crist does pick Martinez to replace, um, Senator Martinez, then perhaps he's doing it to save the expense of replacing the nameplate on the Senator's office door...
I honestly don't know a thing about Bobby Martinez other than he's from Miami (strike one) and he's a lawyer (strike two). One more strike, buddy.
Oh, right, if he lines up with Crist politically... that'd be strike three.
Charlie, just pick someone we know, who understands the political landscape in Washington (like Mike Bilirakis for instance.) Obviously you'll pick someone who won't run against you, and a retired representative seems like a safe bet. |
