The new ordinance includes a list of "unsafe" and therefore banned handguns.
Look at the list. Unless you collect antique firearms, most of those names will have you scratching your head. Heck, even if you do collect rare curios, you'll probably be stumped by some of them.
Seriously, a Frank Wesson Large Frame Superposed Pistol? That was last manufactured in 1880. It isn't even a firearm by the federal definition. Some of the names on there don't even come up as real brands in a Google search. Clearly, Chicago spent a lot of time making this list.
My guess is they just went here and wrote down the names of anything without a trigger guard.
