Over the last 7 years, I have not posted anything related to the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. This is the first, and probably the last 9/11 post you'll see here.
The fight against Islamic extremism started before 9/11. It will continue on into the future until enough people have the will to stand up to them. We don't need a single day to focus our anger and grief, we need a constant national will to destroy any and all enemies of liberty. The problem is our attention span. We are on par with a goldfish, while adherents of extremist Muslim ideologies seem to be able to hold a grudge across many generations.
I'm not interested in flashy memorials or heart-string-tugging tributes. All I want is a commitment from my fellow citizens to keep fighting until the threat is annihilated. |
