Florida Carry Inc. board member Robb Allen discusses the bill, how it works, and why it is so important.

As both of my readers know, for my own reasons, I'm not interested in openly carrying a firearm. I carry concealed, and will continue to. I don't support SB 234 because I want to open carry, but because I think our rights should not be infringed. There is no logical reason why open carry should be illegal. Most of the nation allows open carry, and it simply isn't a problem. All the existing law does is make potential criminals out of otherwise law abiding citizens.
Florida residents: contact your state legislators and insist that they push to get this passed. Ask them to vote for it, and ask that they work with their colleagues to move it forward. Ask if they have co-sponsored it. If not, why haven't they?
Remember politicians care about two things: Money and votes. Make sure they know they will lose both if they don't support us on this issue. |
