Man loses gunfight with a snapping turtle.
First of all, there are two water-critters that are damn-near impossible to kill: catfish and snapping turtles. Second, if you want to kill a snapping turtle, I'd suggest a bigger caliber than 9mm (7.62x54R might do the trick.) Third, if you decide that a gun is the best way to kill a turtle, you'd be well advised not to shoot through your foot. Any hollow or soft-tip round is going to lose too much velocity passing through your foot to do much damage to the turtle. A hot-loaded FMJ might do the trick, but there are clearly better ways to harvest your dinner. |
