My prediction was 49-13. The Louisville defense played their best game of the season. Who'da thunk? I hate nail-biters. Regardless, 1 TD is not enough of a win for this game.
Too many penalties... and we had been doing so good this year. They get frustrated, then they get stupid.
What the hell is it with us and fumbles. Turnovers lost the USF game for us.
Pat White is gonna get himself killed. I'm glad we have two capable backup QBs, because I get nervous every time I see White get hit hard. Still, he's one tough sonofagun. And fast. In case you didn't know.
Did I ever mention that Noel Devine is fast? Why isn't he getting more touches?
The ESPN dudes were clearly stoned... they kept giggling at everything.
The officiating this game is some of the worst I've seen this year.
Rivers scares the crap out of me on returns. He always goes after the ball, even if he is surrounded by defenders. He's got great hands, and he's damn good at returning kicks, but i think he takes personal joy trying to give me a heart attack.
Schmitt is still my favorite player on the team, regardless of his lousy pooch kick tonight. The last time he did that, it was a flawless execution. This time, i think he wanted to just take it and run, so he wasn't thinking about the kick. He does everything right, all the time. He makes his blocks, and he really puts the hurt on people. Sure, he doesn't get the ball that much, and he doesn't always even move it that far... but Schmit doesn't get tackled, he picks a defender to crush as he goes down. He's also a pretty funny dude.
Our offense wasn't 100% tonight, but they didn't make any catastrophic mistakes (although the number of turnovers almost did it.) Our defense gets better every game. They still don't manage the screen passes that well, but they made some great 3rd-and-short stops.
