Oh, and on top of having some demonic strain of the flu, I saw that a boil water notice has been issued for my neck of the woods. I'm beginning to wonder if my mother-in-law isn't right about Florida being a third-world country.
I saw the notice halfway through the day after I had spent all morning trying to rehydrate myself. "Drink lots of fluids", they say. So, I hope there was nothing terribly nasty in the pipes. Of course, as lousy as I've been feeling, I doubt some waterborn nasties could do me much worse.
Oh well, time to re-stock my bottled water. Sure I have a dozen means of boiling water, as well as a good emergency water filter, but buying a case of water at the Publix is much easier.
Oh yeah, there is also a Tornado watch in effect this evening. Good thing I didn't feel well enough to clean the pool, because I know tomorrow it is gonna be filled with all kinds of crap anyway. |
