Who's in the right?
Here's the story:
Man buys some land in the middle of nowhere, builds himself a really nice gun range so he and his sons can have a nice place to shoot. Suburbia encroaches on his property, and now the neighbors want his range shut down.
This has happened before with more than a few public ranges. I worry that in this case, the Wesley Chapel (NC, not FL) city counsel will have the power to say "you can't use your property as a range anymore" even though he's said he doesn't shoot as much as he used to, and he doesn't shoot as much of the "big stuff".
In a case like this, I think as long as he's not shooting late at night or early in the morning, he should have every right to use his property how he sees fit.
They built by his range. His range was already there. |
