Just a random thought.
Some states, such as WV, have not yet passed laws making the list of concealed firearms licensees private. So if you hold a WV concealed handgun license, that information can be made public, and everyone in WV will know you may be carrying a gun, and at the very least have a handgun at home. However, if I decide to carry my gun in WV, pursuant to my Florida license (the two states have concealed-carry reciprocity), nobody will know. Well, unless they read my blog, that is.
My point is states like WV, by publishing licensee information, are basically saying that residents of their state are less entitled to privacy than residents of other states.
