This lady is glad she had one. As Robb points out, the anti-gun groups in this country would prefer she had been murdered.
First of all, I'm glad she survived unscathed, and a thug ended up in the hospital (although arguably, society would have been better served if she had placed the bullet a few inches to the right and an inch higher.) Second, I'm thrilled to see good media coverage. The report identified the victim (the girl with the gun.) and the criminal (the one in the hospital) instead of confusing them like so many anti-gun reporters do.
While incidents involving lawful self defense are not uncommon, unbiased reporting is rare. The good news is that there seems to be a positive trend with stories like this one. |
