More strangitude with referers and searches |

Today I did my "every three months or so" look at what kind of searches find gregandbeth.com... and I've found even more interesting stuff. If you look at the "Search Terms" page, you will see that I comment about how that very content of the page causes a change its own dynamics. Cool. Now I've found that there are brazillions of link-harvesters out there that pick up on this everyone-in-the-world-generated search term page. So now when you do certain searches in google (take "gregandbeth" for an easy one) you find that lots of these junk link sites have picked up my little back-woods-of-the-internet website. This is causing even more strangeness in my search terms listing, and also generating a higher google ranking for me.
Take a look at this google search to see what I mean.
Not only am I linked everywhere, but I am linked in the craziest of places... harvest sites with completely wacko titles ("Ripley campain finance") somehow link to me. I'm almost tempted to shut off my search terms page for a few weeks to see what happens. |
