It is time to organize another backpacking trip. I'm thinking a 3-day/2-night trek (Friday-Sunday), somewhere in WV or nearby.
The last weekend in June is out (Wha Jasia Day) as is the second weekend in July (brother's wedding.)
Ideas:
Dolly Sods (I've never done the Rohrbaugh Plains trail.)
Cranberry Wilderness (I haven't been here in years.)
Spruce Knob/Seneca Creek (There are lots of trails I'd like to see. I haven't been on top of Spruce knob in years either.)
North Fork/Allegheny Mountain Trail (A good 2 to 3 day shuttle hike.)
Appalachian Trail (Maybe the eastern-panhandle segment? Maybe somewhere in Va?)
Otter Creek (I've never done any hiking around here.)
Anthony's Creek (There are some nice side trails, and maybe a few trout left in the stream.)
Anywhere in the Greenbrier area?
Anywhere in the MNF... maybe over in the GWNF...
There are lots of great trails to see, and we have all summer to cover them. Who's with me?!
