Question: "pistol range palm harbor fl"
Answer: There isn't anything in Palm Harbor. However, there are a few nearby and a few more within an hour's drive (give or take.)
Knights is probably the closest. I believe it is the only public indoor range in Pinellas County. Knights and Shoot Straight are the nicest indoor ranges in the Tampa Bay area. Knights has 25 yard pistol lanes and 50 yard rifle lanes.
The Firing Line is also due north in Port Richey, but I've never been there so I can't comment on how nice it is. They only have 25 yard pistol lanes.
If you don't mind driving a bit:
Hernando Sportsman's Club is a little further north. Never been there either, but they have a lot of options for both rifle and pistol shooting.
Shoot Straight is over towards Brandon. They have a really nice, big, clean store, and a well maintained range. Shoot Straight is also the only indoor range nearby with 100 yard rifle lanes.
Tampa Shooting Sports, Inc. is right on Dale Mabry just south of Waters. They have 25 yard pistol, and 50 yard rifle lanes. From what I've heard, the range gets damn hot in the summer.
Wyoming Antelope Club is a many-discipline shooting club in the St. Pete area. I believe you have to be a member to shoot there. I've never visited, so I don't know much about what they offer.
If you don't mind a longer drive:
The Tenoroc range (broken website) in Lakeland is excellent, although it is a bit of a drive from Palm Harbor. They have covered pistol and lanes with stationary shooting benches.
I've never been up to Dade City Rod & Gun Club (no website) or down to Manatee Gun and Archery Club but I do intend to check them out and report here at some point in the near future. |
