Since my M44 may be a wall-hanger (or at least relegated to the "rarely shot" pile), I am anxiously awaiting the M91/30 I ordered from AIM Surplus.
The thing is, they (like so many other gun dealers) are way behind on orders. They are even keeping their site updated with how far behind they are on shipping: Due to high order/back order volume we are currently experiencing a delay in shipping. Please allow for up to 3 weeks for us to process and ship your order. We are currently shipping orders placed on the 10th of December. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The date from my order confirmation:Order Date: 13 December 2008 So it should ship UPS Ground from Middleton, OH this week. Which means if I'm really lucky, I'll see it by Friday, but more likely it will arrive early next week.
That means, with luck, that I should have all the cosmoline removed by October or so.
