Nearly every day I get an email asking how my day went. People just love to ask what I did today. To be perfectly honest, there's not much room in a day here for "interesting" things to happen. In a war zone, "interesting" generally means "bad" anyway. So instead of explaining to people that every day is exactly the same here, I figure I'd just write up every single thing I do, in detail, so I can forward it along when they ask. So here is what I did yesterday. Here is what I'm doing today. Here is what I'll be doing tomorrow.
My Day

- grab my towel, wash cloth, and drop kit
- walk to shower trailer

- shave
- shower
- walk back to CHU
- get dressed (whatever socks/underwear/shirt/pants are at the top of their respective pile)
- put on belt

- camera in right cargo pocket
- keys in right pocket

- meet co-workers in parking lot
- on every 3rd day, drop off/pick up laundry before breakfast
- drive to chow hall

- morning shit
- work until lunch time
