When I pound the table and shake my fists about needing to own guns as a check on a tyrannical government, you have to understand that stuff like this really worries me. Sure, it is just a study. Sure, there are no ramifications yet. But the government loves to pick up these studies and with lightning-fast reflexes, their knee starts jerking, and legislation gets signed. Guns. Smoking. Foie Gras. Trans-fat. Imported Medications. Things keep getting worse, but hey, it is for the Good of the People, right? I pray that nobody in Washington reads this study. |
