Man, I haven't been to the range in weeks. I haven't been fishing in what seems like months. Sadly, I don't see either of those problems being remedied before Christmas.
This time of year does seem to suck every spare minute of a person. I'm looking at one and only one day to go hunting between now and Jan 1 when our deer season ends. And that day is getting a bit shaky. It will most likely get cut down to 3/4 of a day, maybe less.
Ya know, back up in WV, the first day of hunting season was a de facto holiday. High schools closed and businesses gave everyone the day off. Down here in FL, I don't even know where to go hunting. What I've heard is you have to drive up to the panhandle, or even go out of state, to find decent sized deer. Talk about not having time for that! You almost have to take a long weekend.
