Excellent! It would seem that Breda is in a good position to win the competition... namely that she's willing to bring folks out. Is it easier for a gal to convince people to go to the range?
I sometimes think being an instructor actually puts me at a disadvantage in something like this. I'd feel dishonest counting all of my NRA First Steps students.
Yeah, that's why I'm not counting paid training sessions, or group sessions anymore. One or Two people at a time, no payments for training. If you meet those criteria, and your write up "newbies at the range" reports, then you can score points.
Keep in mind, even if you are a paid instructor, that doesn't preclude you from taking a friend's child for her first trip to the range, while you are off the clock! Regardless, I'm really interested in telling stories of people being safely introduced to the joy of shooting sports. If you want to write things up, but feel bad about keeping points, send me your stories and pictures anyway, and I'll post them!
