Well, the email topic mentions C/C++. Ok, that's cool. Haven't dereferenced a null pointer in a while. Might cheer me up. Oh, but then wait....
Start out the letter with "We are in partnership with Bloomberg, chartered to do the technical hiring for them. They are located in NYC (Mayor Mike Bloomberg owns the company), and make the terminals that provide..."
First of all, fuck New York City. I don't mind visiting, but a weekend there makes me feel like crawling up a mountain in the wilderness for a week just to get the stink out of my pores. Second, fuck Bloomberg and everything associated with him.
I'm not officially in the market for a new job right now, but since my company just switched health insurance policies, so that it now REALLY BLOWS, I am considering making a move. But... I am not moving to New York, DC or California. Not happening. |
