So... Hi everyone!! Thought it was about time I chime in. This weekend I spent most of my time getting trained to become a sexual assault victim's advocate. Learning how to answer the hotline, but also how to support the survivors during medical exams after the assault. This could mean I'd be driving kind of far at night really late sometimes. As a congrats on the training, I want you to be safe present, I came home to a tupper wear tall container filled with snickers minis and flowers. I thought aww how nice of my husband, but then I picked up the container to take the candy into the bedroom to eat it and talk to Greg. And when I picked it up, I noticed that it was a lot heavier than any snickers I've eaten before. So I took it into the bedroom and sat on the bed with Greg and pulled the top off and inside I saw the buti of a gun. I pulled it out and was totally surprised to see the Glock 19 that I have been wanting!!! I was so excited. (Apparently someone stopped at the gun show after the IDSSD err... something or other event that he went to. I really need to start paying attention when he tells me things) I am totally excited at this point and check it out and learn how to take it apart and put it back together again. One problem tho. No holster. Well temporarily it is living in a huge ass bull dog that does NOT work on my body for carrying.
So the other day we stopped at this gun shop down the road from us that we hadn't been to and they were super nice. They didn't have a ton of options, because they just got back from the gun show too, but they suggested a belly band. So I got one, but it was too big when i tried it on. I'm going to preface this with a completely girly sentence or two. Today is a pink day. I don't know why, but I needed to be wearing lots of pink. I had my "Save the TaTas" shirt on a rose quartz beaded necklace and a huge pink cocktail ring. And some how this translated to me needing to take a trip back to the gun store. Ethan and I were running errands and I needed to go back and exchange the belly band. They had the right size and I asked about other holsters again, because I still need a holster when it's not in the belly band. They didn't have anything, but told me I could dig through the 50% off bin. Well, after seeing a bunch for sigs and 1911s I found on for one single leather outside the waist band one for a Glock. Granted they were for the shorter models, but he put a 19 in there and it fit too. So I asked how much it was and he said $15! SCORE! It's a Tagua. Don't know much about that but it's $15 and leather and just what I was looking for. And I did it all wearing pink and toting a gay boy and they didn't even talk to me like a girl at all. I must be getting good at this gun stuff. |
