Engadget showed how they got around the fat-finger issues with a keyboard, and I admit it was cool. When you typed T I M, the system recognized that there is no word TIMW or TIMR so it enlarges the "size" of the 'E' key (virtually).
That was pretty f*cking intelligent.
A cool toy, but like you said, not worth the dough. Plus, as much of a techie as I am, I use my cellphone to call people. Period. Maybe on a rare occasion, I'll snap a picture, but I don't play games, I don't "text", I don't use it for email, yadda yadda yadda.
I use my Blackberry for email and phone. No camera. No games. But I do use the internet features from time to time including Google Maps, which has saved my butt dozens of times. That being said, what is lacking in my BB is also lacking in the iPhone, namely a GPS hookup to Google Maps.
