So the semester is over. Actually its been over for a while... longer for me than most other people. My professors are lazy. Anyway, I aced all my classes... because I am a computer science god!
Then I asked my professors why they gave me A's... and they said that everyone did well, and blah blah... basically I don't think they even graded the projects that I spent hours of my life toiling in front of an ancient flickering 15 inch monitor. Lazy.
Figures. I can't complain, I know I deserved the grades I got, but it still irks me that I can spend weeks at a time writing code and researching, and my professors just skim through everything and say good job, pat on the back, and seeya next semester.
Maybe I'm just spoiled by my undergrad professors who marked off ten points if you put delta(alpha, beto) when you meant delta(alpha, beta). I mean, they scoured all of the assignments we did. Hell, my software engineering professor actually graded every freaking page of the 200 page document we wrote in that class. I can't imagine doing that for 20 or 30 groups. And here my multicast professor, in a class of about 20 just said 'everyone did just fine'.
Maybe I just miss the red ink. I didn't get a single physical piece of paper back from a professor this semester.
In other news, my house is a mess, I need to do laundry, wash the dishes, vacuum, dust, etc. But the funny thing is, now that school is out, I have even less time to do this. And even funnier, I'd rather brew a few batches of beer than get my house clean. Now that we have kegs, and Isaac just ordered a 10 lb CO2 canister, we can brew like crazy, and not have to put half the effort into it (bottling is a real bitch.)
We just kegged our 'christmas' beer, which is cool, because it should be ready to drink by christmas, or at least shortly thereafter (maybe new years.)
Anyhoo, I have nothing left to ramble about, which isn't that unusual really. Maybe since school is out I just can't bitch about anything anymore. Maybe I need to find something to write in here besides bitching. Maybe I'll start writing book reviews, or writing editorial articles with an actual point. Hmmmm. Nah, I'll leave that up to the professionals. And I'll bitch professionally. Actually, I shouldn't say that or I might start getting included in lists with Andy Rooney and all those other "journalists" who love to bitch about random stuff that nobody cares about. Boy is that thought depressing.
(In an annoying nasal voice): "Who decided to call these clocks that we wear on our wrists 'watches' anyway? They don't watch anything do they? Shouldn't they be called wrist clocks?" (sound of a gun firing, and a loud thud.)
Ahh. |
